The Kogi Apprentice

Ana Maria Velasco is an ally to the sacred Kogi Tribe. The Kogi are ancestors of the ancient Tayrona (in Colombia), and only interacted with the outside worked for the last few decades. Ana has studied with Kogi and has been raising funds and awareness of the Kogi mission to literally save their mountain and the entire planet itself from destruction. Thanks to Ana, I was able to visit to Kogi and learn from such a great people. Ana Maria created a children’s eco-coloring “Cuidando del Corazon del Mundo” (Caring for the heart of the world) book with her drawings with the foundation: La Sierra Artist Residency.
